raison d'être

...because I love film. I love to watch it, I love to analyze it, I love to let it take me somewhere else for a while.

...because the themes of film mirror our lives, and the more I watch film, the more I see themes in my own life, or re-think aspects of my life I wasn't aware of before.

...because sharing thoughts about film brings it alive for me. I've watched over 1500 films in my lifetime and if I don't share them with folks I may bust open.

...because people are always asking me for film recommendations, knowing I'm a film buff. Hopefully, you can take some away from this list.
